Caraval - Book Talk *Non-spoiler*

Hey guys,

So my second book discussion/talk will be about Caraval by Stephanie Garber.
For those who don't know what Caraval is about:
It is a fantasy book about a girl named Scarlett. She has never left the tiny isle if Trisda, pining from afar for the wonder of Caraval, a once-a-year week-long performance where the audience participates in the show. Caraval is magic. Mystery. Adventure. And for Scarlett and her beloved sister Tella, it represents freedom and an escape from their abusive farther. When the sisters' long awaited invitations to Caraval arrive, it seems their dreams have come true. But no sooner than they arrive, Tella vanishes, kidnapped by the show's mastermind organiser, Legend. One thing they must remember is that it's all a game.

THIS BOOK GUYS! I read it to quickly and as soon as I finished it I wanted to read it again. People have been saying that is another 'Night Circus' and I kind of see why but it is so much more different and completely unique. I can't remember reading a book like this.
The characters in this book are amazing along with everything else. It shows how strong the relationships sisters have with each other are. And with an abusive father, Scarlett and Tella's are even stronger which is great because it is exactly what their farther doesn't want. I love how Scarlett is so passionate about wanting to protect Tella because she thinks it's her responsibility to do so with her being the oldest of the two. But also how Tella is teaching Scarlett that life isn't just about staying safe ant that if they want one they are going to have to take a few risks, which definitely happens in here. Then there's Julian. Oh my god, Julian! I thought he was a great complex character that you fall more in love with the more you find about about him. I can't say too much about him without spoiling the book because WOW but I can say that I thought he helped bring a side of Scarlett out that even she didn't know she had which I think is pretty awesome.
The world of Caraval is so amazing and is nothing like you would think it would be. There is a quote in this book that I love (it's one of my favourites) that describes Caraval perfectly: "Whatever you've heard about Caraval, it doesn't compare to the reality. Its more than just a game or a performance. Its the closest you'll ever find to magic in this work". The magic in this is incredible and nothing like you would expect but it will definitely be a type of magic you want to see in real life.
The bad thing is, is that there is a new book (which is good because THE END!!! oh my god) but it is still untitled with no release date so I'm stuck with guessing what it could possibly be about :'(

Overall I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads and I really need the next book right now.
If you have read it please tell me your opinions.
I am thinking of doing a spoiler type talk because I have so much more to say about this book but I can on this post because there will be too many spoilers.

Anyway, that's all for this week, I hope you have a good week and I'll see you next weekend.
Buy guys.
