Top 5 Wednesday
Hey guys
I was on Goodreads and I saw the Top 5 Wednesdays so I thought it would be a nice thing for me to do. I'm not going to be doing all of them, I'll just do one a month.
So wish me luck for my first ever Top 5 Wednesday.
So wish me luck for my first ever Top 5 Wednesday.
This week I'd favourite romance novels. I'm going to put them in order (number 1 is my most favourite) and hope that I don't change my mind when it's posted!
Coming in at number 5 is...
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
I read this in year 10, and I enjoyed it. I love rivalries, there's something about them that hooks me onto the story. I must admit that I don't like that they killed themselves at the end, I know it was because they were in love, but still! Also my love for Shakespeare helped with my love of this. It has some beautiful pieces of poetry in this, which was a nice change from my usual go to genres.
Then number 4 is...
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
I'm not a big fan of romance books, and this was a little mushy. I picked it up sometime after The Fault In Our Stars, so I think I was still hung up on that, to fall in love with this book completely. But it's a great book. I like it when books emotionally damage me (and this did) because it shows how good of a book it is to get me gripped so much. It was an emotional roller-coaster and a half. I was told to be prepared for the ending, but I didn't listen to them, and now I wish I did because OH MY GOD!
Next for number 3 is...
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
This book made me laugh a lot, so much in fact that it made me forget how sad the ending was going to be. And that's not cool because it made my heart hurt harder! But I love the romance between Hazel and Augustus. My favourite part is when Hazel, Augustus and (name) are egging (name girlfriends) car because she broke up with him because he's now blind.
2nd place is...
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Like I said in my Book Talk, I love this book. Like Romeo and Juliet, this has a lot of tension and feuds, it makes the story a lot more interesting.
*Spoiler* .
The most interesting part about this is that the couple in love don't actually end up together in the end. It's great for the plot because it takes a nice twist that books don't normally take.
. *End of spoiler* Definitely deserves the spot as my 2nd favourite romance books.

Now 1st place is........
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austin and Seth Grahame-Smith
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austin and Seth Grahame-Smith
I love this book. I didn't know it was a book until I saw the trailer for the film, so I bought it and read it just before the movie came out. I've only ever read snippets if the original Pride and Prejudice, and what I read, I liked. But I love this book. I think it's amazing how it's incorporated zombies into while still showing the relationship between Elizabeth and Mr Darcy developing. I love the part where she denies his proposal in the middle of the book by fighting him, even though he's just proposed to her. I also love that they hated each other at the start of the book. Character development is one of my favourite things.
So this was my first Top 5 Wednesday, I hope you enjoyed it, I did the best I could, I haven't read very many books where the main genre is romance, so I think I did okay.
And please tell me, what is your favourite romance novel, it could give me some ideas for when I do decide to read a romance.
Till next time
