Top 5 Wednesday

Image
Hey guys I'm really sorry about the last two posts. I had so much piling up on me and I just couldn't get myself to do anything, it didn't help that the two posts I planned were really long, they are up in draft (unfinished unfortunately) and ready to be posted next month!! I'm really hoping I manage to get back into things then. So this is a Top 5 Wednesday and this one is: Ideal Mash-Ups e.g. "perfect for fans of Harry Potter and Game Of Thrones" Just to warn you, mine aren't going to be very technical and you'll probable be disappointed in my choices haha. Also I don't really know what to write once I've said the two so this post might be a lot of jumbled up letters so it seems like a long post... (These aren't in order) If you're a fan of Harry Potter and Witch & Wizard     "These plots are nothing alike, but I know some people love to read magic books. So if you are a big fan of these two books, definitely get.....

Favourite Fantasy Reads

Image
Hey guys I've just finished a very heavy fact based book based on real events and it made me realise how much I love fantasy books. So I've decided to do a favourite reads post to give my brain a rest. The first two books on this list are pretty over used choices, but I can't help what I like. So because of that reason there's just going to be a short description why I liked them. The Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling It shouldn't really be a surprise why I like this book series! The world is fantastic; the characters are amazing, you can't help falling in love with them all (except for Umbridge). No matter how many times I read for watch this, they always make me feel cosy and at home. Harry Potter is my comfort book(s). The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan Percy Jackson is like Harry Potter and also completely different from Harry Potter. The plot is nothing like Harry Potter and yet the feelings I get when reading this series are the ...

Doctor Who Book Tag

Image
Hey guys If you've read my last Top 5 Wednesday post, you'll know that I love Doctor Who. So when I saw there was a Doctor Who Book Tag, I was so happy, and I couldn't put off doing it. This tag was created by Becomingbookish, and I'll leave links at the end. 1. The Classics A classic book that still fits into YA literature I was going to go with Harry Potter, but that's a bit too obvious, so I've chosen Holes by Louis Sachar I read this for the first time at school in year 9. At first I didn't like, probably because I was being forced to read it, and then I watched the movie at home about a year after which made me want to read the book again. Since then, I've been able to enjoy this book, and that makes me happy because it's a good book. 2. Ninth Doctor A book you feel is very under-rated There's a few books I could have picked for this one, but I thought And The Band Played On by Christopher Ward was the best ...

March Wrap Up

Image
Hey guys So, we all know that the end of the month means a wrap up. So here it is! The first book I read was Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix by J.K.Rowling I don't really know what to say that hasn't already been said about this book. The thing is, I got really into it completely forgetting what happens to a certain character. It took a while because it's a big book (800 pages) to read when you're just getting out of a reading slump. Not the best decision I've made in my life, but it's a good book so don't judge. Obviously I gave this 5/5 on Goodreads again. The second book I read was: Pride And Prejudice And Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith I've been wanting to read this for a while so I'm glad I added this to my tbr for the month. I honestly forgot how much it worked with the original. Seth Graham-Smith did a great job. I kept to rating at 4/5 on Goodreads. And the last book I read was: The...
