Doctor Who Book Tag

Hey guys
If you've read my last Top 5 Wednesday post, you'll know that I love Doctor Who. So when I saw there was a Doctor Who Book Tag, I was so happy, and I couldn't put off doing it.
This tag was created by Becomingbookish, and I'll leave links at the end.

1. The Classics
A classic book that still fits into YA literature
I was going to go with Harry Potter, but that's a bit too obvious, so I've chosen Holes by Louis Sachar
I read this for the first time at school in year 9. At first I didn't like, probably because I was being forced to read it, and then I watched the movie at home about a year after which made me want to read the book again. Since then, I've been able to enjoy this book, and that makes me happy because it's a good book.

2. Ninth Doctor
A book you feel is very under-rated
There's a few books I could have picked for this one, but I thought And The Band Played On by Christopher Ward was the best choice.
People loved and still do love the movie Titanic, but the real thing was far from romantic. So much happened and not enough people acknowledge that, and it's really disappointing. This book doesn't just talk about what happened, but about how the family of the people on the Titanic were affected as well. More people need to read this book.

3. David Tennant
A book series that was hard to say goodbye to when it ended
I've read more stand-alones than book series' because I know I'll get too attached to the books. So for this I could have chosen any book series I've read, but I went for Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
This is because so much happened in these three books and so much more could happen but we'll never know about it because the trilogy has ended. And that really upsets me because I fell in love with the characters and the peculiar world, I just want more! Is that too much to ask?

4. Matt Smith
A book that makes you smile
There are a few books out there that make me smile, but the first book that comes to mind is Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.
This book makes me smile whenever I think about it. It's very funny, even when it's not meant to be, but I think that's just me (I have a weird sense of humour). The main reason why I smile is because of Simon and Baz. I love them two together and I don't want it any other way, it's been a while since I've shipped anyone that hard, it's nice. And the story is amazing, so much is going on but you can understand completely. I'm smiling just writing about it.

5. Rose and Ten
One of your ships that never sailed
I'm not going to lie, I have a lot of ships. A few ships have sailed and a few, unfortunately, haven't. But out of all of them I've chosen Wolfstar (Remus Lupin and Sirius Black).
As much as I love Remus with Tonks, Remus and Sirius would have been perfect. They already acted like a married couple, so why didn't they just get married!?! Also, the fan art for Wolfstar is amazing, it's so fluffy. You should go check out Space Dementia (http://alessiajontrunfio.tumblr.com/) on Tumblr because their work is amazing, I'm honestly obsessed, it's a problem. Just look at it! How amazing!

6. Weeping Angel (these are the reasons why I don't like statues)
A book that you blinked and it was over
There are a few books that I've read and they just ended all of a sudden, but If I Stay by Gayle Forman was the first one that came to mind.
I read this in about a day and a half when I was at my Granddads. I remember picking it up, crying, and then finishing it. I don't even remember sleeping to be honest. Yet I can remember everything that happened in the book. It must have been that good.

7. Daleks (Which I've just found out is in the Oxford Dictionary!)
A book you want to exterminate
There isn't any books that I own I don't like. I'll give the book a chance, then if I don't like it, I'll give it to one of my friends that I think would like it.

8. Bow ties are cool

A bandwagon you jumped on early
I used to not like reading so when I started to love books I had a lot of catching up to do, so I never really got into anything early. Then I got this one book and love it, and it only came out a month before I bought it. It is Caraval by Stephanie Garber.
This book is so bloody amazing! Honestly, I could talk about it for ages! I am so glad I got it when I did because I got to join the fandom early. Legendary is already pre ordered and the wait is killing me!

9. Run you clever boy, and remember
A book with an awesome plot twist you didn't see coming
There's been a few plot twists out there that tool me by surprise, but the one that struck me close to the heart is (once again) Caraval.
I don't know what to say without spoiling it, but that ending was full of plot twists that I'm still not over yet. Stephanie Garber played a mean game with that ending.

10. Raxacoricofallapatorius
A book with hard to pronounce names/titles
I've looked through my book shelves and I can't seem to find a book that matches this description.

11. The T.A.R.D.I.S.
A book that took you back in time
I have quite a few books that I could say for this question, but the one that makes me way way ways back is The Shadow Of The Gallows by Barry Redfern.
It's pretty self explanatory why I picked this one. It talks all about my home town in the 18th century, so if that's not back in time, then I don't know what is.

So that's it for the tag. I have decided to tag my good friend Chloe because she has finally watched Doctor Who after who knows how many times I've tried to get her to watch it. So I'll leave a link to her blog at the end so you can see when she posts it.
I also want to apologise for this being 2 days late, but I've had a busy 2 days. But it's here now!

Till next time
