The Intimidating TBR Book Tag

Image
Hey guys It turns out that I have a lot a few books on my TBR pile, there are 33 physical books and 14 e-Books that I own and haven't read. So, I thought it'd be fun to do this tag. The original YouTube video of this tag has been removed, so unfortunately I do not know who made this tag. I'm just going to get into it. 1. What book have you been unable to finish? The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens It's not that this was a bad book (from what I can remember), but because I was reading it during the time I wasn't into reading, so I was going through this at an agonisingly slow pace and I just gave up. I would like to attempt reading this again soon. Also one of the characters is called Emma, so that's pretty cool (that's my name FYI). 2. What book you have yet to read, but just haven't had the time? Crave The Mark by Veronica Roth This has 480 pages, and I do own longer books, but this has small writing. I just feel like I need a ...

May 2018 Re-Cap

Image
Hey guys This was meant to be up yesterday but it took me a while to type all of this up. This might not be the best thing ever because it's is my first time doing something like this, so bare with me please. (The 3rd, the 26th, and the 29th contain Spoilers for Infinity War, Solo, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine)     1st & 2nd May - I didn't really do much these two days, the rain was terrible so I couldn't go out of the house.     3rd May - I went to go see Avengers Infinity War. OH MY GOD! This movie is insane! It's not the best Marvel movie there is, but it's still amazing! And I will not except that Loki is really dead! He is a God, the God of mischief and he wouldn't go up to Thanos with a tiny dagger! And when I saw Captain Marvels logo I wanted to squeal. I can't wait till next year! Also why couldn't Marvel let Vision and Wanda be happy?!?! WHY!?!     4th May - So it was Star Wars day, do what do you think I did?   ...

May Wrap Up

Image
Hey guys I have read a total of 3 books this month. One was a smallish book and two were the the standard 500 odd page book. And I'm currently 100 pages in a book. I also ended up buying 2 books as well. So, I'm quickly going to tell you the two books I bought then I'll get right into the Wrap Up. The first book I bought was: Children Of Blood And Bone by Tomi Adeyemi Look how beautiful this is, and it has this soft texture to it as well.      Zélie  remembers when the soil of  Orïsha hummed with magic. When different clans ruled - Burners igniting flames, Tiders beckoning waves, and  Zélie's Reaper mother summoning forth souls.     But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, anyone with powers was targeted and killed, leaving  Zélie without a mother and her people without hope. Only a few people remain with the power to use magic, and they must stay hidden.    ...

Top 5 Wednesday (Rewind)

Image
Hey guys, So Lainey and Samantha (the moderators of Top 5 Wednesday) have said that this month is a rewind month. So I've decided to do a topic I love, which is: Favourite Maps! So to start off, number 5 is: Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake    I'm a sucker for detailed maps and if this isn't on, I don't know what will make it one. It's very cramped, which I sometimes don't like, but it's worked out for this map. It's easy to find the places, which is great because it helps you understand the scale of things. Now, for number 4: Children Of Blood And Bone by Tomi Adeyemi I like this one because there isn't any information on here that's not needed. I also like that it includes the sea considering where the sea comes into at the beginning. It's also cool how the map is on the inside of the cover. Now at number 3: The Christmasaurus by Tom Fletcher   I love this map because it's so cute and childish. Whe...

Most Of My Favourite Quotes

Image
Hey guys I was going through a list of my favourite quotes the other day, and I thought I'd share them because, who doesn't love a good quote. These aren't in any particular order, so I won't be stating any favourite one. Side Note: There's going to be swearing in some of these quotes. So if you don't like that, I've warned you. These first lot of quotes are from musicals made by Team Starkid. I love these people and their musicals. I have also made a Top 25 Starkid Song post, so if you want to see that click HERE  Also Lauren Lopez holds a very special place in my heart and I don't think that's ever going to change. "I'm tired! Why can't we just be Death Eaters?"     - Draco ~ A Very Potter Musical I'm always tired so I find this very relatable, also it's said by Draco which is even better. "You'd think killing people would make them like you, but it doesn't, it just makes them dead...

Books I Want To Re-Read

Image
Hey guys I've been in a very re-readie (is that a word?) mood lately, so I thought I'd share what books I really want to get into again. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott This book follows 4 March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, who are living with their mother in New England. Their farther is away serving as a chaplain in the Civil War, and the sisters struggle to support themselves and keep their home running despite the fact that the family recently lost their fortune. In the process, they become close friends with their wealthy neighbour, Theodore Laurence (also known as Laurie). Jo, the lovely protagonist, must tame her tomboyish ways and learn to be more ladylike while pursuing her ambition to be a great writer. Meg, the oldest of the 4, must put aside her love of wealth and finery in order to follow her heart. Beth, the adorable shy sister (and my favourite), must conquer her bashfulness, while Amy, The youngest March, has to sacrifice her aristocratic pr...
