Hey guys First of all I want to say sorry about not posting on Saturday, but I was unbelievably ill, and now I've really only gotten 100% better. I'll most likely do that planned post next month. I got this idea from BooksandLala ( Her video ). She made her son choose some books for her to read. One for the title, one for the cover, one for the synopsis, and one random book from her bookshelf. And I got inspired, so I got my mam to do the same for me! The first one that my mam chose (because of the title) was: Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo Katterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price - and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull this alone... A convict with a thirst for revenge. A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager. A runaway with a privileged past. A ...

Top 5 Wednesday + Birthday Haul

Image
Hey guys, It's that time of month again.... Top 5 Wednesday. This week it's Favourite Science Fiction and Fantasy in Other Media (e.g. Movies, TV shows, games, anime, etc...). I don't really watch Anime and the games I play are more in the action section. So for me this is basically Top 5 si-fi and fantasy movies and TV shows. These are going to be in order. Coming in at number 5 is: The 100 So the premise of this TV show is that a nuclear Armageddon destroyed civilisation on Earth, the only survivors are those who were on the 12 international space stations that were in orbit at the time. Three generations later, the 4000 survivors living on a space ark of linked stations see their resources dwindle and face draconian measures established to ensure humanity's future. Desperately looking for a solution, the ark's leaders send 100 juvenile prisoners back to the planet to test its habitability.    When I first watched this, 2 seasons were already out a...

The Graveyard Book Book Talk *Non-Spoiler*

Image
Hey guys Yeyyy another spoiler free book talk! This one is going to be about The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman if you couldn't tell by the title. The Graveyard Book is a YA fantasy about the events after a murder of an entire family except one baby boy. The toddler wanders into a graveyard where the ghosts and other supernatural residents agree to raise him as one of there own, where he gains two new ghostly parents. This boys name is Nobody, known by Bod by his friends. He is as normal as a boy can be who has been raised and educated by ghosts, he also has a solitary guardian called Silas who belongs to neither the world of the living or the dead. What could be so bad about this? Well if he leaves the graveyard (which protects Bod) he will be in anger of being attacked by The Man Jack (or Jack Frost (he'll do more than nip at your nose). And this man is the person responsible for Bod having no living parents. I read this book at the end of October 2016 and I real...

Disney Songs To Books + Other

Image
Hey guys Disney songs are my favourite songs, there's no doubt about it. And I also love books (who would have guessed). So I thought I'd combine the two together and make this post! I also have something I need to talk to you guys about at the end. So I have 4 songs to books to show you, for each song I will put the video with it. What I've done is took some lyrics of all the songs and chosen a book that best fits them then explain why. Easy peasy! Edit:  Proof reading through this post I realised that it's more Disney Lyrics to books but I'm too lazy to change it now. Just thought I'd throw that in there. The first one is: A Whole New World  from Aladdin "Unbelievable sights Indescribable feelings Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling Through an endless diamond sky A whole new world A thousand things to see" I've chosen Caraval by Stephanie Garber I chose this because these lyrics are basically describing what Carav...

My Candle Collection

Image
Hey guys I had a crazy obsession with candles before I moved to Australia, I still have a big love for candles but the love isn't as huge as it used to be. I actually got my friend into candles as well. I went to buy some more candles and the next thing he knows he bought as much candles as I did haha. I still have a mini collection, so I thought I'll show you it! I'll start with my tea lights. I have 20  of these and the majority of them are different scents . My friend James put a bunch of these in a mason jar for my birthday and they smelt amazing all mixed in together. I've used the majority of the ones he gave me and I'll be quite disappointed once I've used them all. These next 2 are from a company called Coley & Gill If you couldn't already tell, one scent is Fresh Lavender and one is Cotton Fresh . That's a lot of fresh. I've had the lavender one before so I know I like it since I loved the smell while it was l...
